The interview really explored the democratic deficit in Ireland Inc. Fintan correctly identified that our Republic is not living up to that ideal. Many of us what to engage in a discourse on the best way forward and the Nordic model in Health,education and responsible govt has much to recommend it. In Norway ,for instance Even right wing govts according to Gro Bruntland who spoke to that point in Ireland in 2006 ; stated," that Norway had 240 private beds and mostly for Plastic Surgery", otherwise, equalty of access, a principle of their Health system would be compromised. Please keep up this discourse as its our only version of parish hall debate, unlike the Icelanders we have lost our sense of outrage and our ability to put it in a public space.Great stuff , looking forward to more of same.Next time could you include some of the engagement from audience?
